WORDS OF
THE DIRECTOR
“The framework of the
most important reggae music festival of the world, ROTOTOM SUNSPLASH EUROPEAN REGGAE FESTIVAL, I thought the
setting was conducive to listening and feeling the response of a good part of
people (230.000 persons in 10 days;
different cultures, races, beliefs, religions, philosophies…
representing the five continents) about the question of What would you do to
change the world?.
The concept of the festival, in which advocates for a better world through the Love, the Peace and the Union (the slogan for this edition was ‘ANOTHER WORLD IS POSSIBLE’), made such a match with my ideas and my way of living and feeling that makes me take the decision of film there this movie.
It was such a pleasure
having, not only in-depth interviews, but spiritual conversations with some of
them.
On the other hand, the
words of the creators and organisers of the festival, Filippo Giunta and
Claudio Giust, led me to better understand the reasons of them to carry on a
festival with this characteristic, so necessary at the moment from my point of
view.
If to all this we add that part of my soul is in Castellón and Benicàssim, because I was born in those lands (so loved for me), and the fact of having family and friends that I carry in my Heart, the answer was clear… I would shoot there ´WAKE UP!"What would you do to change the world?
